Basketball Africa League: The axes of the 3rd edition known this Tuesday

The Basketball Africa League unveils this Tuesday the program of the third season, during a press conference, scheduled in its premises in Almadies (Dakar).

“The third season of BAL will take place in various African cities in early 2023. The announcement will inform fans about the dates, locations, conferences and format of season 3. It will illustrate the expectations of the upcoming season and highlight BAL’s efforts to develop basketball on the continent through the League,”
the BAL release said.

The ceremony will be presided over by the president of the Basketball Africa League, Amadou Gallo Fall. There will also be John Manyo-Plange, Vice President and Head of Strategy and Operations of the BAL.

The activities of the League have resumed since October with the playoffs. Nearly 30 teams took part in this qualifying phase. Cape Town Tigers (South Africa), Ferroviario da Beira (Mozambique), City Oilers (Uganda), Seydou Legacy Athletic Club (Guinea), Abidjan Basket Club (Ivory Coast) and Stade Malien (Mali) were able to join the 6 direct qualifiers. These are US Monastir (Tunisia), AS Douanes (Senegal), Rwanda Energy Group (Rwanda), Petro Luanda (Angola), Al Ahly (Egypt) and Kwara Falcons (Nigeria).

As a reminder, Zamalek (2021) and US Monastir (2022) have won the first two editions of the BAL.
